There’s a special thrill to driving through a mountain tunnel. The light disappears, the sounds are muffled, the temperature drops, and then…bam, you’re back out into the sunlight and fresh air once again.
Showcasing one of the iconic tunnels on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina, this print captures that moment of anticipation right before you enter the tunnel. The trees rise above you, maybe an eagle soars past along with a few lazy clouds, and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains stretch out for miles.
Printed in two colors of blue on soft white paper that pulls its compositional weight as a third color, this screenprint from Starfangled Press brings a graphic punch to your wall.
It’s for anyone who’s ever pulled over at a scenic overlook and enjoyed the awe of a mountain parkway drive.
