A bold question, delivered with the help of a very determined bird. This hand-drawn card from Starfangled Press features a pileated woodpecker making a classic Valentine’s Day request with just enough edge to raise an eyebrow (or a smile). Sweet, sincere, and a little cheeky. Just like the person you're probably thinking of right now.

About The Brand
About The Brand
Starfangled Press is a woman-owned studio based in Brevard, North Carolina, making playful, down-to-earth paper goods drawn with an Appalachian accent.
With a background in traditional printmaking, artist Kristen Necessary brings that same bold, layered style to all of her original hand-drawn illustrations, along with an offbeat sense of humor.
Her work is meant to be used and enjoyed every day, because art makes life better. She thinks small things like these really matter, and loves the funny, beautiful, and unexpected ways they can connect us to each other and the places we call home.
